The AIS PYP aims to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning, self-discovery, and social responsibility as well as promoting excellence at all levels of school life. Our students participate in an academic programme that combines comprehensive, hands-on instruction, individualized attention, differentiated instruction, and extensive co-curricular opportunities, preparing them for the challenges of middle school, upper school, and beyond.
Summary
The school aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better world through intercultural connectedness. The learner profiles are integrated into the learning and teaching throughout the curriculum and students’ life. AIS provides our students with a solid academic foundation. Students are taught critical thinking skills essential in a rapidly changing world. It is a haven for collaboration, exploration, and Discovery. We value intellectual curiosity and are committed to the education of our students through the development of empathy, ethical behavior, integrity, discipline, and service, based on a firm foundation of Christian values.

All members of the Lower School adhere to the Honor Code and conduct themselves in a trustworthy manner that will further the best interest of the school, their class, and any team or club to which they belong. The Lower School has two teachers (a lead teacher and an assistant teacher) in a homeroom who handle all core subjects. Music, PE, Drama, Art, Library, French, Spanish, and ICT are taught by specialists. We have hardworking and supportive staff members dedicated to challenging, engaging, and nurturing students of different abilities and with different learning styles through inquiry-based teaching and learning.
