On June 15, 2024, an adventurous group of 26 students from the Association International School, including 6 enthusiastic Spanish students and 20 eager French learners, along with their trio of inspiring teachers—Mrs. Lily Agbezuge (our fearless Group Leader), Mrs. Christina Sackitey, and Mr. Hermann Follison—embarked on an unforgettable journey to the vibrant lands of France and Spain!
Touching down in Madrid on June 16, the excitement was palpable as we were welcomed by our friendly host coordinator, who expertly paired us with wonderful host families ready to share their lives and cultures with us. Every morning was filled with engaging Spanish and French lessons led by native speakers, setting the stage for our afternoons filled with thrilling explorations of historical sites and attractions in the heart of Madrid. The warmth of the host families made our experience even more special, and every moment was a new memory in the making!
After an exhilarating week in Barcelona, where we soaked in the sun and culture, we jetted off to Niort, France, for a two-week adventure that marked our first visit to this charming city. The warm welcome from our coordinator and host families made it feel like home, and we dove into the local culture with excitement. Our grand finale took us to the iconic city of Paris, where we spent a week exploring breathtaking tourist spots and historical treasures that we’d only dreamed of before.
