As the Blue & White Day Torch travels along its route, we are reminded of the values that Association International School’s Blue & White Sports Day embodies – friendship, fair play, unity and diversity. With these words, the 60th Anniversary Edition of AIS Blue & White Sports Day was officially opened.

Each year the AIS Community (students, staff and parents) is separated into two houses – Blue & White – to compete for the enviable title of Blue & White Sports Day Champion. This year the two houses competed in various events including:

(a) lime and spoon relay

(b) high jump

(c) 50 metres dash

(d) pick and drop relay

(e) shot put

(f) soak and fill the bottle

(g) 4x50m relay

(h) tug of ‘peace’

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the two teams went head-to-head in the various events. It was refreshing to see older students cheering on the younger ones in the pick and drop relay, 50 metres dash and soak and fill the bottle. the highly anticipated showdown between parents and staff in the relay race and tug of peace was a sight to behold. Before this, students displayed their prowess in skating, karate and dancing to the excited crowd.

At the end of the day, the Blue Team embodied their motto: “Blue to Victory, Blue to Success” and rode home to victory.
