Adjoa Fordjour intends to pursue a BSc. Electrical Engineering at York University. Physics, ITGS and Mathematics were her favorite courses at Association International School. Adjoa hopes to spearhead a change for green transportation systems in the world and looks forward to taking full advantage of York University’s excellent research resources and facilities to achieve this.
In the summer of 2022, Adjoa was selected as the only high school student to participate in the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences-Ghana (AIMS-Ghana) Girls in Mathematical Sciences Program. She accepted this challenge willingly, and true to her commitment and dedication, successfully completed this training by undertaking a research project on the “Cubseat Prototype”. This program inspired her to establish a mentorship program on our campus dubbed the “Girls in STEM Project” where she mentored 15 girls, and enrolled them in a UN-recognized program called Girls in STEM organized by Academic City College, Ghana.
Adjoa has served as the President of the Student Representative Council at Association International School, Founder and President of the Interact Club, and Co-Organizer of the Rare Disease Initiative, “the Run-for-the Ribbon Marathon” and the Student Connection Project.
